God Reschedules Rapture

God is a little too busy this week for the rapture, he has a few house parties to attend to so he's going to have to reschedule the rapture planned for Saturday.

Diet Coke + Mentos Fail

Elapsed Time: Heavy Traffic

Original footage was about an hour and 10 minutes. Would of liked to record longer but local law enforcement showed up and questioned me with their "neighbors are concerned excuse". Nice officers, but I thought leaving was the best thing to do. It took about 7 1/2 hours to render this elapsed time video. Rendered the video three times in Sony Vegas to reduce the footage to 2:30 minutes long.

Live by Treachery, Die by Treachery; A Historical Lesson About Selling Your Soul

The moral of this story, beside the cost of allowing a degenerate elite to paralyze an entire nation of millions in fear for nearly a generation, is that those who help the elite do so, inevitably pay the price as well. They pay the price not at the hands of those they see as enemies, but at the very hands that feed them.

The Making of a Memory Master

While writing an article on the ancient art of memory, journalist Joshua Foer put his own brain to the test. He entered the 2006 USA Memory Championship - and won. He describes his experience in his book, "Moonwalking with Einstein." NewsHour's Hari Sreenivasan caught up with Foer recently to discuss the culture and science of memory and give us some tools on how to memorize long lists, quickly.

THE CORPORATION : What is a Corporation?

1. The Corporation is today's dominant institution, creating great wealth but also great harm. This 26 award-winning documentary examines the nature, evolution, impacts and future of the modern business corporation and the increasing role it plays in society and our everyday lives.

Birth: How the corporation came to be. Originally, corporations were set up to serve the public good. Corporation lawyers gained rights through the US Supreme Court using the 14th Amendment (set up to protect slaves) that gives them the rights of a person. In the last century, the corporation is given more and more rights while people are increasingly stripped of theirs.

A Legal "Person": Having acquired rights of immortal persons, what kind of person is the corporation? By law, the corporation can only consider the interests of their shareholders. It is legally bound to put its bottom line before everything else, even the public good.

Big Brother Big Business

Airing Date May.12, 2008 --- CNBC-Big Brother Big Business
Disturbing and eye opening special on how businesses and government collect and use private information on you.

Award-winning correspondent, David Faber examines the rapid advance of technology which allows companies to monitor our every move and record our most private personal information. Driving habits are being recorded; employees are monitored; shoppers and diners are observed and analyzed; internet searches are saved and used as evidence in court.

It is big business that collects most of the data about us. But increasingly, it is the government that’s using it.

The documentary takes viewers inside the FBI, the Border Patrol, police departments and schools to see how they are using biometric technologies to establish identity. There is also a rare look inside a little-known division of AOL that works solely with law enforcement requests for information about AOL’s members.

Faber also examines some of the downsides of the new surveillance society: a man whose cell phone records were stolen by his former employer; a women who lost her job due to mistaken identity; a man who discovered his rental car company was tracking his every move.

BIG BROTHER, BIG BUSINESS takes an enlightening and sometimes disturbing look at how the growth of the information society may be eroding the freedoms many people take for granted.

Be warned of Digital Deception

You must see this! Does this make you wonder how much footage from prominent world events is fake? How much fake news are we fed? Dictators, terrorists, riots, revolution beamed into our living rooms as part of on-going psychological warfare against the masses? Is this a conventional war of tanks and guns and bombs in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya or is it really all part of a sustained psychological war on the minds of every single person on the planet?

The Story of Electronics

The Story of Electronics, releasing Tuesday, NOVEMBER 9, employs the Story of Stuff style to explore the high-tech revolution's collateral damage—25 million tons of e-waste and counting, poisoned workers and a public left holding the bill. Host Annie Leonard takes viewers from the mines and factories where our gadgets begin to the horrific backyard recycling shops in China where many end up. The film concludes with a call for a green 'race to the top' where designers compete to make long-lasting, toxic-free products that are fully and easily recyclable.

Our production partner on the electronics film is the Electronics TakeBack Coalition, which promotes green design and responsible recycling in the electronics industry.

The Story of Cosmetics

The Story of Cosmetics, released on July 21st, 2010, examines the pervasive use of toxic chemicals in our everyday personal care products, from lipstick to baby shampoo. Produced with Free Range Studios and hosted by Annie Leonard, the seven-minute film by The Story of Stuff Project reveals the implications for consumer and worker health and the environment, and outlines ways we can move the industry away from hazardous chemicals and towards safer alternatives. The film concludes with a call for viewers to support legislation aimed at ensuring the safety of cosmetics and personal care products.

The Story of Bottled Water (2010)

The Story of Bottled Water, released on March 22, 2010 (World Water Day) employs the Story of Stuff style to tell the story of manufactured demand—how you get Americans to buy more than half a billion bottles of water every week when it already flows from the tap. Over five minutes, the film explores the bottled water industrys attacks on tap water and its use of seductive, environmental-themed advertising to cover up the mountains of plastic waste it produces. The film concludes with a call to take back the tap, not only by making a personal commitment to avoid bottled water, but by supporting investments in clean, available tap water for all.

Our production partners on the bottled water film include five leading sustainability groups: Corporate Accountability International, Environmental Working Group, Food & Water Watch, Pacific Institute, and Polaris Institute.

The Story of Cap & Trade

The Story of Cap & Trade is a fast-paced, fact-filled look at the leading climate solution being discussed at Copenhagen and on Capitol Hill. Host Annie Leonard introduces the energy traders and Wall Street financiers at the heart of this scheme and reveals the "devils in the details" in current cap and trade proposals: free permits to big polluters, fake offsets and distraction from whats really required to tackle the climate crisis. If youve heard about Cap & Trade, but arent sure how it works (or who benefits), this is the film is for you.

Water Wars

Can anyone really own water? There's a 400 billion $ of global business made by corporations out of the blue gold every year. Water is a resource for your life, not a private property. Who controls the resources of life now will soon controls the rest of all things. A small group of private interests (with the help of the World Bank) is making decision on the water we drink, regardless of natural rights of the people.

Irena Salina's documentary, beyond identifying the problem, also gives a look at the people and institutions providing practical solutions to the water crisis and those developing new technologies, which are fast becoming blueprints for a successful global and economic turnaround.
